Volleyball Alberta is a proud partner and guest of the International Sport Exchange with Alberta’s sister province of Gangwon, South Korea. Alberta Sport Connection, the Alberta Government and Volleyball Alberta were excited to send our athletes, coaches and leaders from June 29 to July 9, 2019. The Alberta team participated in court sessions and competed in several friendly matches. The team also got to go to a local farm, a sauna, a Budhist temple, a Korean market, the 118th floor of the Sky Tower in Seoul, and to the DMZ Observatory and Mueseum. They got to try making traditional Korean food and art and participate in a cultural discussion in an English class at the local high school. The Alberta representatives also got to experience zip lining, hiking and a trip to the beach.
