The Volleyball Alberta club tryout period begins the first day after the Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) Provincial Championship, except in areas that have a City or Regional Junior High School Championship after this date.

Edmonton is the only region in the province that traditionally holds their Junior High School Championships after the ASAA Championships so we typically have the Edmonton and local area tryouts for the 13U-15U age classes begin at a later date.

Edmonton’s surrounding area includes Ardrossan, Beaumont, Calmar, Devon, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc, Morinville, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain.

This year, the 13U-15U tryouts in the Edmonton and surrounding Region will begin (Sunday, December 4, 2022) as we begin those after Edmonton Public City Championships. All other Regions and Age Classes may begin club tryouts (Sunday, November 27, 2022) as we begin those after ASAA Provincial Championships.

Club tryout start dates:
• Sunday, November 27, 2022, All Regions 12U-18U, unless otherwise specified.
• Sunday, December 4, 2022, for Edmonton and surrounding Region 13U-15U.

All participants must become 2023 Youth Development Player – Tryout members of Volleyball Alberta prior to participating in club tryouts or training.
