2023 Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships HEAD COACH Eligibility

Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships approaching!
Head Coaches are required to have all 2023 Mandatory Requirements completed and clear.
As well, Head Coaches must have the appropriate NCCP Certification status at the Development Coach and/or Advanced Development Coach levels.

Volleyball Alberta has developed a 2023 Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships Head Coach Eligibility Form .

Exemption requests will be reviewed and approved by Volleyball Alberta in the order that they are received and on a case by case basis.
Volleyball Alberta reserves the right to request additional feedback from coach, club, etc. as required.  Head Coaches will be notified of their exemption status by email.

If you are participating as a Head Coach in multiple Provincial Championships and require an exemption for multiple events, then you will need to complete a separate form for each event.

PLEASE NOTE: Exemptions will not be considered for the following mandatory requirements for all age groups:

1) Police Criminal Record Check
2) Screening Disclosure Form
3) Coaches Association of Canada (CAC) Safe Sport Training
4) Making Head Way in Sport eLearning
5) Making Ethical Decisions (MED) Online Evaluation
6) Foundations of Volleyball eLearning

A HEAD COACH will be INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE if the above mandatory requirements are not met.

DEADLINE FOR EXEMPTION REQUEST:
April 5, 2023

If the exemption is not approved, a fine of $250 will be required and must be paid prior to attendance at Provincial Championships.  Once the fine is received and processed, the Head Coach will be able to assume their duties on the bench (provided the 2023 Mandatory Requirements are complete).
