Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships are approaching!
Coaches are required to have all 2024-2025 Coach Eligibility Requirements completed and clear.
Coach Eligibility Requirements 2024-2025 Season
NOTE: Coaches Attending Volleyball Canada Nationals
The most significant change for coaches competing in 2025 VC Nationals is that ALL coaches (Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches) listed on any Nationals roster must complete the following mandatory requirements to be eligible to participate:
- CRC – Criminal Record Check
- SST – Safe Sport Training
- SDF – Screening Disclosure Form
- MHS – Making Headway in Sport
- MED OE – Making Ethical Decisions ONLINE EVALUATION
- FOV – Foundations of Volleyball eLearning
Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships Coach Eligibility Requirements
Head Coach Eligibility Exemption Request 2024-2025 Season
Exemption requests will be reviewed and approved by Volleyball Alberta in the order that they are received and on a case by case basis.
PLEASE NOTE: Exemptions will not be considered for the following mandatory Head Coach requirements:
- CRC – Criminal Record Check
- SST – Safe Sport Training
- SDF – Screening Disclosure Form
- MHS – Making Headway in Sport
- MED OE – Making Ethical Decisions ONLINE EVALUATION
- FOV – Foundations of Volleyball eLearning
A Head Coach will be INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE if the above mandatory requirements are not met.
A Head Coach who has an outstanding fine will be INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE until the fine is paid.

The request form will CLOSE | April 6, 2025 at 11:59pm MT |
Fines for Unapproved Exemption Requests
If your exemption is not approved, the following fines apply:
- Provincials Only: $250 fine, payable to Volleyball Alberta before the Provincial Championship.
- Provincials & Nationals: $250 fine, payable to Volleyball Canada before Provincials/Nationals.
Once the fine is paid, the Head Coach will be deemed eligible to participate.
