Volleyball Alberta will offer our Youth Beach Tournament series for 12U to 18U age classes in 2025.

2025 Volleyball Alberta Age Categories

18U events will be combined 17U/18U Age Categories.

Teams must play in the same age class at provincials and national championships.

For 2025: Athletes may play up a maximum of two age classes without an exemption from Volleyball Alberta. (For example: A 14U athlete can play in a 15U or 16U age class but not 18U.)

Registration

May/June events opened on April 10th. If you see the [Add] button, click to add the item to your cart and proceed with registration and payment. If you see the [Waitlist] button, click to add the item to your waitlist basket. If you no longer wish to remain on a waitlist, please remove the item from your waitlist basket.

July/August events, please read the April 11 update linked above. The updated schedule with registration opening dates/times for the second half of the schedule will be posted April 22 (pending confirmations). Please note that registration for the second half of the season will not open until after the Easter long weekend.

April 3, 2025 Update: The Beach Registration Guide for this season is now available! You can find it under the Membership Registration Guides section on the Registration > How To Register page.

We recognize the high demand for tournaments and are actively working to open waitlists and explore opportunities to add events across different weekends and age groups. If a tournament is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist—this helps us assess demand and make adjustments to accommodate more teams whenever possible.

Refund Policy

Beach Tournament Refund Policy

A refund of the program fees, less a $35 administration fee, will be refunded if withdrawing before the cancellation date (registration deadline).
No refund will be issued if withdrawing after the cancellation date (registration deadline)
If withdrawing after the Wednesday prior to the tournament a $50 late withdrawal fee will be issued unless a doctors note is provided
If withdrawing after the cancellation date (registration deadline) and a doctors note is provided a refund will be issued less a $35 administration fee.
If cancelled by Volleyball Alberta and the session cannot be rescheduled for later days, VA will refund participants the variable costs of the program onto the original method of payment*.
If a tournament commences and 25% of matches are completed before cancellation no refunds will be issued. If less than 25% of matches are completed a 50% refund to participants will be issued.

2025 Beach Handbook
1. Rosters for coaches will lock after the registration deadline (Two Wednesdays prior to the tournament at 11:59 MST). No changes for coaches will be permitted after the deadline. Coaches must have all screening requirements completed by the registration deadline, if not they will not be permitted to coach. NO EXCEPTIONS
2. Teams wishing to register for Provincials without having played in a previous tournament may request an exemption. Please email beach@volleyballalberta.ca – Note that a $50 fee may be added to registration for teams granted exemptions
3. Teams wishing to register for Nationals without playing in provincials are required to request an exemption. Contact Ray Sewell: rsewell@volleyballalberta.ca
