In an effort to improve coach development opportunities, Volleyball Alberta is pleased to offer coaching clinics and symposiums within the province. Each of these events showcase a collection of high-profile speakers and presenters delivering topics relevant to the modern-day game of volleyball and sport in general. Many of these clinics and symposiums will offer PD points for trained coaches.

Confirmed presenters are Sarah Pavan and Graham Vigrass. This event occurring over 2 days is a chance to connect with coaching colleagues and presenters from a high-performance background. Specific topics include transitioning from indoor to beach, training the middle position, elevating your setter training and meaningfully incorporating the libero into practice plans.
Coaches will receive PD points for attendance at this event.

Registration opens Wednesday, April 16 at 12:00PM MT. Must hold an active Volleyball Alberta Leader membership to register (coach, manager, club president, etc.). Registration will remain open until June 13 11:59 PM.

Volleyball Alberta hosted their 1st Annual Coach and Referee Symposium on December 14, 2019 at Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB.
This multi-stream symposium brought together Alberta’s volleyball coach and referee community for a day of professional development and sharing of best practices. As leaders in the volleyball community within Alberta, participating coaches and referees had the opportunity to learn from each other and from leading experts in their respective fields.
The 2019 Coach and Referee Symposium featured a coach education stream and a referee education stream, as well as combined sessions throughout the day where all participants came together to share experiences and best practices.
