GOLD, 2 SILVER, & BRONZE at 15U/16U West Championships

Congratulations to all our Alberta medalists from the 16U West Volleyball Canada Championships held in Calgary, AB May 21-23, 2016!

Our 16U Boys claimed the SILVER medal in Division 1 Tier 1. Congratulations to the Nooks Blue team!

The Nooks Blue Edmonton squad lost to Durham Attack (Ontario) 2-0 (28-26, 25-23) in a very close final. In the Tier 1 Bronze medal match, the Red Deer Central Alberta Kings lost to the Junior Wesman from Winnipeg 2- 0 (25-22, 25-19).

The 16U Boys All Star team included: Trystan Morris Fraser (Durham Attack), Amit Sayal (Durham Attack), Cameron Kern (Nooks Blue), Hunter Stewart (Nooks Blue), Nigel Nielsen (WinMan Clutch), and Jonathan Graham (Central Alberta Kings). Isaac Northcott (Durham Attack) was selected as the tournament MVP.

The 16U Girls final saw Team Academy Black squad (BC) defeat the Jr. Bison Gold (MB) 2-1 (23-25, 25-22, 15-8). Our Pandas team lost the Bronze medal match to the Thunder Blue team (BC) in straigh sets (12-25, 21-25)

The 16U Girls All Star team included: Danika Cowie (Team Academy Black), Tiffany Westerberg (Team Academy Black), Alli Pauls (Junior Bison Gold), Sydney Michalyshen (Junior Bison Gold), Jessica Goodridge (Thunder Blue), and Lizzy Reimer (Pandas). Gabby Brown (Team Academy Black) was selected as the tournament MVP.

Our NAVC Griffins Black 15U Boys claimed the GOLD medal in Division 1 Tier 1, while the Wolves Black team took home the BRONZE. The SPVC Blizzard earned the SILVER in 15U Girls Division 1 Tier 1. Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, club and parents!.
