2018 Arctic Winter Games

The Arctic Winter Games is the world’s largest northern multi-sport and cultural event, and will have over 1,900 athletes, 250 officials, 100 cultural performers, and 2,000 volunteers. The Games include the participation of teams from Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Alberta North, Nunavut, Greenland, Yamal, Nunavik-Quebec, and Sapmi. The 2018 Games are being held in South Slave region of the North West Territories (Hay River & Fort Smith) March 17-24.

The Opening Ceremonies are being held on Sunday, March 18 and the first volleyball matches get underway on Monday.  The men will face off against Team Nunavut, while the women match up against the hosts, NWT.
