Congratulations to all our Alberta medalists from the 17U & 18U Volleyball Canada Men’s Championships held in Saskatoon May 13-15, 2016!
Our 18U Men claimed both the GOLD and BRONZE medals in Division 1 Tier 1; Congratulations to both the FOG Black 18 and Canuck Dinos 18 teams.
The Edmonton FOG Black squad defeated the Pakmen Gold from Mississauga 2-1 (25-20, 27-25, 15-12) in an exciting final. In the Tier 1 Bronze medal match, the Calgary Canuck Dinos defeated the Junior Wesman from Winnipeg 2- 0 (25-22, 25-19).
The 18U Men’s All Star team included: Bryan Fountain (FOG Black), Jackson Kennedy (FOG Black), Sharone Vernon-Evans (Pakmen Gold), Taryq Sani (Pakmen Gold), Jackson Howe (Canuck Dinos), Eric Loeppky (Junior Wesmen). Max Elgert (FOG Black) was selected as the tournament MVP.
