Coaches!

Volleyball Canada is seeking 12 coaches and program leaders who are interested to learn to coach Smashball and are interested to help Volleyball Canada test out the new Learning Management System (LMS) VolleyballConnect!

Date: November 12, 2024
Time: 6:00-9:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time

Participating coaches will be expected to share their feedback on the VolleyballConnect system after participating in the workshop. To thank coaches for engaging in this pilot, the workshop fee will be 50% off ($26.50).

To express your interest in participating in the pilot, complete THIS FORM by October 15th. The first 12 people will have guaranteed registration.

What is Smashball?

Smashball is a fun and engaging way to introduce volleyball to kids aged 6 to 12 and has 5 levels of play that modify the game to set kids up for early success and instant fun! The Smashball Coach Workshop is a 3-hr National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) live/synchronous course that provides:

Interactive, Learning Facilitator lead exercises, video demonstrations, and quizzes to support learning and program delivery.
Instruction on how to deliver the Smashball game using materials within Volleyball Canada’s free Smashball Trainer App (download at the Apple Store or Google Play).
80-page Activity Bank.
5 Professional Development (PD) points for NCCP certified coaches.
The NCCP status of “Trained” Community Volleyball Coach.
