The Team Alberta program is set to begin another summer of training and competition.
The athletes check in for the program on June 30th in Edmonton: they will spend the first couple of days traning at the University of Alberta before heading back to the Saville Community Sports Centre. Just under 150 athletes from three different age groups (16U, 17U, 18U) will be part of the program. These athletes will be exposed to intense on court skill development, physical training, mental skills development, and nutrition.
The Training Centre will wrap up for the 16U girls and 16U boys with the Team Alberta Cup tournament July 8 & 9. From the Team Alberta Cup tournament, athletes may be selected to compete in the National Team Challege Cup (July 14-17); the boys event is in Kingston, Ontario while the girls will be travelling to Richmond, BC,
Spectators are welcome to watch all the action at the Team Alberta Cup tournament, which is hosted at the Saville Community Sports Centre. The schedule for the Team Alberta Cup event will be posted below once it it available.
